Have you been considering learning more about McGladrey? Would you like a sneak peek inside our firms and our industry? Then maybe the Pathways Program is right for you. According to Amanda Coffin, a 2011 winter assurance intern in the Davenport, Iowa office, “Pathways was an awesome opportunity to evaluate the environment and people that you could potentially be doing an internship with. I knew after attending Pathways that I would enjoy working here at McGladrey and enjoy spending time with the people I work with.”
The Pathways program is similar to an unpaid externship where students are exposed to a variety of experiences. Participants have the opportunity to interact with all levels of individuals, from associate to partner. Some of the planned events for 2011 include a scavenger hunt, a panel discussion with our various lines of business, a community service event, as well as a fun outing to conclude the program. All of these items add up to provide a great mix of a business and fun!
Lindsey Kubitz, a 2011 winter tax intern in the Davenport, Iowa office had this to say about her Pathways experience: “Students should apply to Pathways because it gives a strong feel of the firm. Being there really showed the environment of the workplace and the overall atmosphere. I received tips and guidance that are useful for college and for my professional life. While being at Pathways, I built relationships that in the long-run landed me an internship.”
